Its a beautiful Autumn day in Melbourne with clear blue skies and a slightly warmer temperature than usual. Hooray! This meant I could wear something a little more lightweight & have a break from the usual knits/sweaters/turtlenecks I’ve been living in. I’m so attracted to everything 70’s right now so today I’m wearing a silk pussybow blouse teamed with a denim skirt and over the knee boots…even my oversized shades are retro.

The best way to complement the 70’s style and to keep it modern is by keeping your accessories quite minimal and keeping hair tied back in a sleek bun or pony. If hair was out it would be competing with the outfit. Oh, and I would probably would look straight from that Woodstock era with the fro I possess.

Dusty pink, tan & denim work a treat. Through a backpack into the works and you have an elevated relaxed chic look. The ladylike handle of this backpack works well with the feminine feel of the outfit. As for the bow itself, keep it slightly loose and drapey. You don’t want it too perfect cause it will look  stiff & restrictive.
