I thought it would be difficult finding the perfect outfits for spring carnival while being pregnant. I actually didn’t struggle at all and  found too many great options to my surprise.

Heels : WINDSOR SMITH

Bag : SAINT LAURENT

I thought I would have problems finding an outfit for the races this year with a six month bump. I actually had no problems and found this beautiful dress at Torannce last weekend. It just ticked all the right boxes for me with its slightly baby doll, slightly gothic appeal. I fell instantly in love with the exaggerated balloon sleeves & the feminine floaty structure of this mini shift. Also, it was a perfect match to the dramatic white veil headpiece I already had picked for Derby Day so it was a win win!!!! I felt perfectly comfortable & elegant and it flattered my bump at the same time. Actually my husband did not think I looked pregnant at all in this dress! I was ready and prepared for Derby Day in no time with a bump.

My tips for the races:

If you are pregnant its all about providing balance for the bump in selecting a dress for the races. You could choose like I did a loose structured mini dress with long sleeves with the area of focus being on your legs. Torannce, Zimmermann & Thurley have so many great options right now and is really worth checking out.  Another option for the races is to go for a body scheming midi dress of a stretchy fabric in a solid colour. A maxi is also favorable and you could get a way with a print.

Keep the jewellery minimal as you want the attention to be more on the hat or the dress you are wearing. For accessories, I have chosen these amazing earrings from Kookai. I could have picked the black version but I wanted to break up the monochrome for something a little unexpected. It worked as it was in theme with my outfit. Kookai has made some great statement earrings right now, really you should check it out.

As for shoes my philosophy is, the more simple the style, the more your dress will shine. I picked up these beauties from Windsor Smith and love how it complimented the dress without overshadowing it.
